Lo ha detto l’ex pilota della Ferrari Felipe Massa, intervistato dal TG1, annunciando di aver intrapreso un’azione legale per ottenere il titolo 2008 perso per un solo punto contro Lewis Hamilton. “Ho ingaggiato un team di legali molto forti”, ha detto Massa, al quale la Formula Uno ha recentemente chiesto di non partecipare alla gara di Monza di questo weekend. “Lotteremo fino alla fine per ottenere giustizia in questo sport. Non capisco perché un caso di manipolazione non possa essere verificato nel modo giusto, anche se un anno, due anni o 15 anni dopo”, ha aggiunto. Cruciale è stato il Gran Premio di Singapore del 2008, quando Briatore e Symonds (Renault) avrebbero chiesto al loro pilota Piquet Jr di andare a sbattere volontariamente per favorire il compagno di squadra Fernando Alonso. Il risultato finale della gara vide Massa fuori dalla zona punti. Bernie Ecclestone, ex patron della Formula One Management (FOM), all’inizio dell’anno ha confermato che la FOM e la Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) erano a conoscenza dell’incidente intenzionale e hanno deciso di non prendere provvedimenti. “In questo momento non ho ancora avuto il supporto della Ferrari, ma mi aspetto un aiuto da loro. Sono ottimista: lotterò per la giustizia fino alla fine”, ha dichiarato Massa.

I don’t understand why a case of manipulation cannot be verified in the right way even if a year, two years or 15 years later,” he added. Crucial was the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix race, when Briatore and Symonds (Renault) apparently asked their driver Piquet Jr to crash to favor teammate Fernando Alonso. The final outcome of the race saw Massa out of the points zone. Bernie Ecclestone, former patron of Formula One Management (FOM), earlier this year confirmed FOM and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) knew about the intentional crash and decided not to take any action. “Right now I have not yet had support from Ferrari, but I expect help from them. I am optimistic: I will fight for justice until the end”, said Massa.
