Astaldi comunica di aver ricevuto l’aggiudicazione, in raggruppamento di imprese, del contratto per la realizzazione di un ponte sospeso sul Danubio, nella zona di Braila, in Romania. Il valore complessivo delle opere è di circa 435 milioni di euro, di cui il 60% in quota Astaldi. Il contratto prevede la progettazione e la costruzione di un ponte sospeso di lunghezza totale pari 1.975 metri, con una luce centrale di 1.120 metri e due luci laterali di 490 e 365 metri. È inoltre prevista la realizzazione di due viadotti di accesso al ponte, di lunghezza pari a 110 metri, nonché di circa 23 chilometri di viabilità di collegamento. Per la realizzazione delle opere, sono previsti un anno per la progettazione e 3 anni per la costruzione.
Il Committente è CNAIR, Società di Stato che fa capo al Ministero dei Trasporti e delle Infrastrutture della Romania. I lavori sono inclusi nel Master Plan dei Trasporti del Paese e sono finanziati con Fondi UE dedicati, nell’ambito del Programma Europeo POIM.
La progettazione e la costruzione saranno realizzate in raggruppamento di imprese da Astaldi (leader, in quota al 60%) con la Società giapponese IHI (al 40%). IHI è leader mondiale nella progettazione e realizzazione di ponti sospesi e con Astaldi ha già lavorato per la realizzazione dell’Osman Gazi Bridge in Turchia, quarto ponte sospeso più lungo al mondo e parte dell’Autostrada Gebze-Orhangazi-Izmir. Il Gruppo Astaldi è presente da oltre 25 anni in Romania, dove ha già realizzato più di 100 chilometri di ferrovie e metropolitane, 250 chilometri di strade e autostrade, 2 aeroporti internazionali (Henri Coanda a Otopeni, Bucarest e Avram Iancu a Cluj-Napoca). A Bucarest ha già realizzato lo scenografico Viadotto strallato di Basarab, l’estensione della Linea 4 della Metropolitana, il Sottopasso Stradale Piata Sudului, nonché lo Stadio Nazionale Lia Manoliu. Attualmente, è impegnato nella realizzazione a Bucarest della nuova Linea 5 della Metropolitana e del Palazzetto del Ghiaccio Mihail Flamaropol, e nel resto del Paese, sta realizzando la Strada a Scorrimento Veloce Autostrada A1-Curiel, la tratta autostradale Ogra-Campia Turzii e 120 chilometri, suddivisi in tre lotti, della Linea ferroviaria a doppio binario Curtici-Simeria.
Astaldi announces that, in a joint venture, it has been awarded the contract to build a
suspension bridge over the Danube, in the Braila area in Romania. The value of the works totals approximately EUR 435 million, with Astaldi responsible for a 60% share. The contract calls for designing and building a suspension bridge totalling 1,975 metres in length, with a main span of 1,120 metres, and two side spans 490 and 365 metres long. Two bridge access viaducts, 110 metres in length, will also be built, in addition to 23 kilometres of connecting roads. For the performance of the works, one year is planned for design and 3 years for construction. The Customer is CNAIR, the state company headed by Romania’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. The works are included in the Master Plan for the country’s transport, and are financed with dedicated EU funds under the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme (LIOP). The design and construction will be carried out in a joint venture by Astaldi (the leader, with a 60% share) with the Japanese company IHI (40%). IHI is the world leader in design and construction of suspension bridges and it has already worked with Astaldi for the construction of the Osman Gazi Bridge in Turkey, the world’s 4th longest suspension bridge and part of the Gebze-Orhangazi-Izmir Motorway.
The Astaldi Group has been in Romania for more than 25 years, having already built more than 100 kilometres of railways and undergrounds, 250 kilometres of roads and motorways, and 2 international airports (Henri Coanda in Otopeni, Bucharest and Avram Iancu in Cluj-Napoca). In Bucharest, it has already built the iconic Basarab cablestayed viaduct, the extension of Line 4 of the underground, the Piata Sudului road underpass, and the Lia Manoliu national stadium. It is currently engaged in building, in Bucharest, the new Line 5 of the underground and the Mihail Flamaropol ice arena, and, elsewhere in the country, is constructing the A1-Curiel limited-access motorway, the Ogra-Campia Turzii motorway section, and 120 kilometres of the Curtici-Simeria double track railway line, subdivided into three lots.
